Re-NEET UG 2026: As answer key objection window opens, NTA shares updates on OMR sheet
The National Testing Agency (NTA) has confirmed that candidates appearing for the Re-NEET UG 2026 exam will receive their individual OMR answer sheets separately. The clarification came after several students questioned why the OMR sheet was not provided with provisional answer keys.According to NTA, scanning of OMR answer sheets is still in progress. Once the process is completed, candidates will have an individual opportunity to view and download their individual OMR response form. This will enable them to verify the answers recorded during the exam.In the meantime, the agency has opened a temporary answer key challenge window. Candidates can raise objections to their answers between June 25 and June 28 by paying a processing fee of Rs 200 per question. The NTA said the fees would be refunded if the panel accepts the challenge.Explaining the move, the agency said it intentionally initiated the answer key challenge process before OMR scans were completed. “This has been done deliberately for the sake of transparency so that each candidate has an early and public opportunity to review the provisional answers from all four groups and flag any issues they feel are worth revisiting,” the NTA said.Allowing experts to examine objections while OMR scans continue will help speed up the overall assessment process, the agency added. Candidates are advised to only question questions in their exam series code, which is printed on the cover of the exam paper they take home after the exam. After issuing the OMR form and reviewing all objections, NTA will prepare the final answer. Re-NEET UG 2026 results will be declared based on this final answer key.
