NEET UG 2026 re-examination: Provisional answer key challenge process begins; here’s how to apply
NEET UG 2026 Answer Key: The National Testing Agency (NTA) has opened a temporary answer key challenge window for the NEET-UG 2026 re-examination to allow candidates to raise objections to their answers which they feel require review. The facility can be accessed through the official NEET portal and will remain open till June 28 at 11:50 pm.The answers are related to the NEET-UG 2026 reexamination conducted on June 21. Candidates who want to dispute any of their answers can do so by submitting documentary evidence from NCERT books or other recognized standard textbooks. The agency also said that challenges accepted after expert review will be eligible for refund of prescribed processing fees.Challenge process and feesTo submit the challenge, candidates have to log into the NEET official website and enter the question paper series code printed on the cover of the question paper. They can then select the issue or issues they want to dispute, upload support documents and complete payment before submitting a request.The challenge fee is fixed at Rs 200 per question. As per NTA regulations, the amount will be refunded only if the challenge is accepted after review by subject experts. The agency advises candidates to carefully verify every detail before making payment as submissions can be submitted only once and cannot be modified later.The review is conducted concurrently with the OMR assessmentNTA said expert review of key challenges will be conducted simultaneously with scanning of OMR answer sheets. The parallel process is planned to announce the NEET-UG 2026 re-examination results at the earliest after the review is completed.Candidates are asked to rely only on the official NEET portal for answer related updates and complete the challenge process within the notified deadline.Candidate’s official endorsementThe agency also shares contacts for candidates who need assistance during the challenge process. Questions can be resolved through the designated helpline or official email support channel.The interim answer key challenge process forms the next phase of the exam cycle following the June 21 re-examination.
