Maruti Suzuki Dzire now more expensive: CNG trim sees biggest jump

Maruti Suzuki has revised the prices of its Dzire sedan in India, increasing the price of most models by Rs 7,500. The price update comes as demand for the Dzire continues to be strong, having become India’s best-selling car in 2025, with sales of around 2.14 lakh units.The entry-level Dzire has not been affected by the latest version and remains priced at Rs 6.25 lakh ex-showroom. However, the prices of all other variants in the range have increased.Across the range, the CNG model has seen the highest increase. VXi CNG and ZXi CNG trims now cost Rs 7,500 more. The VXi CNG was earlier priced at Rs 8.03 lakh and is now priced at Rs 8.10 lakh ex-showroom. Likewise, the ZXi CNG model is now priced at Rs 9.11 lakh, up from the previous ex-showroom price of Rs 9.03 lakh.Prices of both the petrol-powered VXi manual and AMT variants have been increased by Rs 5,000. After the revision, the VXi MT is priced at Rs 7.22 lakh, while the VXi AMT is now priced at Rs 7.67 lakh, both ex-showroom. The ZXi MT and ZXi AMT models have also been increased by Rs 5,000. These versions are currently priced at Rs 8.22 lakh and Rs 8.67 lakh (ex-showroom). The top-spec ZXi+ trim has also seen a price hike of Rs 5,000. The ZXi+ MT is currently priced at Rs 8.91 lakh, while the AMT version is priced at Rs 9.36 lakh ex-showroom.

Maruti Suzuki Dzire: Engine specifications

Under the hood, the Dzire continues to be powered by Maruti Suzuki’s three-cylinder petrol engine. The motor produces 80.46 hp and 111.7 Nm of torque and is paired with a five-speed manual gearbox. A factory-fitted CNG version is also available, with the same engine producing 68.79 hp and 101.8 Nm of torque.Efficiency remains one of this sedan’s greatest strengths. The petrol-powered Dzire has a claimed fuel economy of 24.79 kmpl, while the CNG version has a fuel economy of 33.73 km/kg.
