Benedict Garrett questions the double standards behind the stomping

In his video, Benedict specifically questioned two dimensions related to the music’s performance. “I’ve seen people praising Yash, filling his comments with fire emojis and saying how amazing he looks. But as far as Kiara Advani is concerned, she’s become a joke. People are saying things like, ‘Oh, she’s newly married, she’s a mother, she’s on honeymoon instead of Sidharth Malhotra.’ Seriously?” he said. He added, “Yash, he also got married, and he has children. So why is it only the woman who is abused, while the man seems to be applauding? Listen, here is the reality. They are actors. Their job is to act, to show people, to make you believe that they are in love, even if they are not.” Benedict also said that the criticism did not match Kiara’s behavior. “They don’t criticize her for her actions. They criticize her for being someone’s wife, for being someone’s mother. As if marriage somehow means that an actress must stop acting. This is ridiculous. The problem is not her talent. She is doubled by the hypocrisy of the people who are attacking her,” he said.

The actor wants the actors to act fairly

Along with the video, Benedict Garrett also shared the words, “Why is Kiara Advani being attacked for her performance, while Yash is being praised for doing the same? The controversy over Tabahi’s music video says more about people than it does about any actor…” He insisted that actors portraying fictional characters and audiences should abandon their professional career and personal life. Her comments have received support from many admirers, who have praised her for challenging gender stereotypes in the entertainment industry.
