The 35-year-old actress, who rose to fame in the popular chick-flick, is set to return to the world of ‘Aquamarine.’ According to recent reports, she will reprise her role as Claire Brown and join the show behind the camera.
Emma Roberts to return to the ‘Aquamarine’ series
PEOPLE confirmed with their latest reports that the pilot episode of the ‘Aquamarine’ reboot has been confirmed. With a growing roster, one of the most popular students from the original film is expected to join the project both on screen and behind the scenes. Emma Roberts, best known for her roles in ‘We’re The Millers’, ‘American Horror Story’, and ‘Scream Queens’, to name a few, will star as Claire Brown. He will also join the series as an executive producer.In addition, the director of the original film, Elizabeth Allen Rosenbaum, will return to resume work, raising expectations and excitement among fans. Susan Cartsonis also joins as executive producer.

The plot of the film revolves around two best friends, who meet a troubled mermaid and decide to help her live as a human, while trying to stay away from her father, who is about to force her into an arranged marriage. The film is based on the works of children’s author Alice Hoffman.
