Nitesh Tiwari’s much awaited epic ad campaign Ramayana started on a grand scale in New Delhi on Saturday, with the actor Yash To say that the film is driven by a shared vision rather than personal fame. Speaking at the Ramayana: Pratham Sankalp event at the Bharat Mandapam, the actor said that the entire team of actors had come together with one goal – to bring the story of Lord Ram to a global audience.The event was attended by Ranbir Kapoor, Sai Pallavi, Sunny Deol, Arun Govil, director Nitesh Tiwari and producer Namit Malhotra, among others.

Greeting the audience in several Indian languages before switching to Hindi, Yash thanked producer Namit Malhotra for believing in such a big project and trusting him with the role of Ravana.“I am very happy to be a part of this great project,” said Yash. “The honor that has brought him so far belongs to Namit Malhotra. I am very grateful for giving me the opportunity to play such an important character.”Calling Ramayana “India’s dream,” Yash said the film is bigger than any actor.“We have all come together with one vision and one passion: to take this story to a global platform,” he said. “Everyone has kept their interests aside. There is only one shared interest, which is to tell the story of Prabhu Shri Ram to the people of the world and celebrate him in our country.”He also said that putting on a film of this type requires a lot of courage and praised Malhotra for making it possible.

The KGF star also thanked director Nitesh Tiwari for guiding him through the complexities of playing Ravana.“Nitesh sir, thank you for guiding me, understanding what the person wants, answering my questions and helping me do this,” he said.Although Yash did not reveal much about his interpretation of Ravana, he spoke about the trust he shared with the filmmaker throughout the process.Apart from acting in the film, Yash is also associated with Ramayana as a producer through his banner, Monster Mind Creations, which he has partnered with Namit Malhotra’s Prime Focus Studios.

Yash praised his co-stars, especially Ranbir Kapoor, who essays the role of Lord Ram.“Ranbir has been amazing,” she said. “I think the whole of India will understand how he overcame this role and see the magic he created.”About Sai Pallavi, who plays Sita, Yash described her as a “flawless actress.”“When you see him in action, his eyes speak for themselves,” he said.He also praised veteran actress Shobana, saying she brought grace and dignity to her performance, and predicted that Ravie Dubey, who plays Lakshman, will emerge as one of the biggest surprises in the film.“She will be amazing in this movie,” said Yash, adding that the audience can look forward to several memorable performances from the cast.
Ramayana is slated for Diwali 2026 release
Directed by Nitesh Tiwari, Ramayana stars Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Ram, Sai Pallavi as Sita, Yash as Ravana, Sunny Deol as Hanuman, Ravie Dubey as Lakshman and Arun Govil as King Dasharath.The two-part epic is being staged on a grand scale, with the first installment set to release on Diwali 2026, followed by the second installment on Diwali 2027. The first trailer of the film is expected to be released worldwide on July 24.
