More about movies and music
The music for the film was created by the visuals and singers, Este Haim, Amanda Yamate, and music director Season Kent, who wanted the film to be as fun and romantic as possible with the help of music. In discussions with Netflix, the three decided to create a list of songs that should go into the film, and how the process felt to them. Yamate tried and shared that they were a good team, and they brought a similar sound to the video’s audio and input. He added, “We also listened to some of the old rom-coms to see how they connected the themes – it was really fun to do modern things. Leah was very open to us to be inspired by a lot of needle drops. I learned orchestral music. Este is a rock legend and she could come in and play bass and synths. We were a good team to deal with.”Kent, talking about drawing inspiration from other romantic dramas said: “We had a lot of rom-com in our heads when we were putting the film together and finding our tone and tone.Yamate added that at the heart of the film, he “tried to touch the heart and what it means to love your sister and maybe lose her.” Este has his sisters. I have a sister.”
