Speaking in an interview about her latest film ‘Maa Inti Bangaaram’, Samantha shared, “What drew me to this story, I wasn’t looking at it as a musical genre or trying to make a statement. I saw that she was this compelling character with real depth and she had a lot of potential to entertain and I think that’s really rare, especially for women in cinema.” Also, I think the scenes are not really visible and I think it’s time to stop putting women in cinema to be seen, for a dance or a song or a part, just for the sake of watching.“He added, “I think the audience has changed; they are open to new stories and they don’t ask if the hero is male or female anymore. They just want to be entertained; they want to be touched.
