Rishab’s passion for filmmaking grew during his time at the Government Film and Television Institute (GFTI), Bengaluru. While studying cinematography, he continued to be closely associated with Yakshagana which is the traditional theater of coastal Karnataka.Yakshagana eventually led him to produce ‘Kantara’.

This has taken the film’s worldwide collection to Rs 86.79 crore after just one day.
Personal family
Rishab married Pragati (Pragathi) Shetty in 2017 at a Bunt wedding ceremony. Apart from supporting Rishab personally, Pragati has built a successful career as a stylist, fashion designer and entrepreneur. He has also contributed professionally to the Kantara franchise, including Kantara: Chapter 1.The couple are parents to two children, Ranvit and Radhya.
