NBEMS Recruitment 2026: Registration window opens tomorrow for 53 vacancies; Check eligibility criteria
The National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) will start the online registration process for the 2026 recruitment exercise tomorrow, July 7, 2026. Previously, the application process was scheduled to start earlier, but due to administrative reasons, the committee changed the date.Interested and eligible candidates will be able to submit the application form through the official website of NBEMS before July 31, 2026.The recruitment drive aims to fill 53 vacancies in various positions. However, the board has clarified that the number of vacancies may be increased, reduced or even withdrawn without any prior notice.
Job vacancy details
This recruitment includes the following positions:
- Deputy Director (Medical): 2 posts
- Junior Programmer: 1 article
- Junior Accountant: 4 posts
- stenographer: 7 posts
- Junior Assistant: 39 posts (including 1 backlog vacancy under Scheduled Tribe (ST) category)
Eligibility criteria
Candidates should ensure that they meet the academic qualifications and age limit for the position applied for.
- Deputy Director (Medical): Recognized postgraduate medical qualification; maximum age 35 years.
- Junior Programmer: Bachelor of Technology (BTech), Bachelor of Engineering (BE), Bachelor of Computer Applications (BCA) or a degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronics or equivalent qualification; aged below 27 years.
- Junior Accountant: Bachelor’s degree in mathematics, statistics or business; under 27 years old.
- stenographer: Shorthand and typing skills passed level 12; age 18 to 27 years old.
- Junior Assistant: Passed Grade 12, computer proficient; under 27 years old.
Application fee
Candidates belonging to the General, Other Backward Class (OBC) and Unreserved Class (UR) categories have to pay an application fee of Rs 1,500 along with 18% Goods and Services Tax (GST).Candidates under Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST), Persons with Benchmark Disability (PwBD) category and women candidates are not required to pay application fee. Bank fees will be charged separately.
Selection process
The recruitment process will consist of Computer Based Test (CBT) Phase 1, followed by Computer Knowledge/Skills Test (Phase 2) for applicable positions.There will be no interviews for Group B and Group C posts. The final shortlist for the posts of Junior Accountant, Stenographer and Junior Assistant will be drawn up based on the performance of the candidates in both phases of the selection process.
