From Bridget Mendler to Jennette McCurdy
Jennifer Stone was a familiar face for an entire generation as Harper Finkle, the best friend of Alex Russo of Selena Gomez in ‘Wizards of Waverly Place’, but after the series ended in 2012, she gradually stopped acting. Type 1 diabetes led her to pursue a nursing degree, and she told People in 2024, “I was like, well, I’m going to stop majoring in psychology and majoring in something that I can better understand and what’s going on in my body and I can help people.” She is now a registered nurse who also hosted the Wizards of Waverly podcast with her old friend David DeLuise in 2024.
