NTA releases NITTT 2026 exam schedule; check shift timings and guidelines
National testing agency (State Administration of Taxation) has released the examination timetable for the National Technical Teacher Training Scheme (NITTT) April-May 2026 semester examination. Online remote proctored exams will be held on July 31, August 1, August 7 and August 8, 2026. According to official arrangements, the examination will be conducted in two shifts every day. The morning shift is from 10 am to 12 noon and the afternoon shift is from 2 pm to 4 pm. According to an official notification, the NITTT scheme aims to provide in-service training to new teachers from All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) approved institutions to enhance their teaching skills.

Training includes continuous assessment through assignments and remote proctored exams based on the Internet. Teachers must complete all phases of the program within three years to be eligible for probationary confirmation and future promotion.
NITTT 2026 Admit Card
Candidates appearing for the NITTT April-May 2026 semester examination can download their admit card from the official website nittt.nta.ac.in. To get the hall tickets, candidates need to log in using their registration number and date of birth.
NITTT 2026 Exam Pattern
NITTT 2026 exam will:
- Conducted in English only.
- Contains 100 objective-type multiple choice questions (MCQs).
- The exam will be conducted in online remote proctoring mode.
NITTT 2026 Exam day guide
Candidates should keep the following instructions in mind before taking the exam:
- Please prepare your NITTT 2026 admission ticket and valid proof of identity with photo when taking the exam.
- Candidates without these documents will not be allowed to take the exam.
- Clear water bottles are allowed during inspection.
- The entire examination process will be monitored on-site by real invigilators.
- If any suspicious activity is detected, the proctor may ask the candidate through the chat window to rotate the laptop or webcam to reveal the surrounding environment.
- Candidates should check the chat window regularly and follow all instructions given by the proctor.
- If suspicious behavior is detected, a warning message may appear on the screen. Failure to follow instructions even after multiple warnings may result in termination of the exam.
- Candidates are not allowed to retain any papers, notebooks or other rough work materials during the examination.
Candidates are advised to read all the instructions mentioned on the admit card carefully and follow the remote proctoring guidelines to avoid any issues during the examination.
