‘Meet the new face of Gotham’, DC Studios has released the highly anticipated trailer for their new horror drama, ‘Clayface’, starring Tom Rhys Harries.The movie stars him as shape-shifting star Clayface, whose real name is Matt Hagen. He starts out as a struggling actor whose face is damaged and then undergoes a scientific transformation that turns his body into clay.The reveal comes ahead of this week’s Comic-Con, where the James Watkins-directed film is expected to reveal more of his battles.According to reports, the film on the famous Batman villain, is between the two Matt Reeves-helmed Batman films of DC Studios – 2022 ‘The Batman’ and 2028 ‘The Batman Part II’, both of which have stars. Robert Pattinson like the Caped Crusader. It comes after the successful launch of the HBO Max series ‘The Penguin’, which is in the same universe.

James Gunn Introduces Tom Rhys Harries as ‘Clayface’
The announcement of Tom Rhys Harries’ casting was made by the director of DC Studios James Gunn, who shared the post, “After a long and very tiring search, we finally have our DCU Clayface in @tomrhysharries. Both Matt Reeves and I were just blown away by this guy, and we can’t wait to see this movie with James Watkin.
Clayface in the Batman comics
Clayface first appeared in 1940’s “Detective Comics,” and several characters have taken on the moniker to battle Batman in numerous comic and animated series. He has appeared in television on episodes of “Gotham,” “Pennyworth” and “Birds of Prey,” as well as animated films such as “Harley Quinn,” “Batman: The Brave and the Bold,” “Young Justice,” “Batman: Caped Crusader” and more.

The film also stars Naomi Ackie, David Dencik, Max Minghella and Eddie Marsan, as well as Nancy Carroll and Joshua James. James Watkins directs from a screenplay by Mike Flanagan and Hossein Amini, a story by Flanagan, based on the DC characters.
