Chidambaram’s thriller ‘Balan: The Boy’ continued its run at the box office on its first Sunday. The film saw good growth on Day 3 and recorded its best single day record ever since its release. According to Sacnilk, the entertainer collected Rs 3.00 crore nett on Sunday, registering a jump of 27.7 percent over its Day 2 gross of Rs 2.35 crore.
The total collection in India stands at Rs 7.17 crore
‘Balan: The Boy’ has now collected Rs 7.17 crore nett at the Indian box office. The total collection of the film in India is at Rs 8.31 crore after three days in the theatres.The entertainer opened with Rs 1.82 crore nett on its first Friday. The collection rose to Rs 2.35 crore on Saturday before rising to Rs 3.00 crore on Sunday.The film recorded a performance of 28.7 percent on Day 1. This changed to 38.3 percent on Day 2 and increased to 45.1 percent on Day 3.
The Malayalam version runs the collection
Of the Rs 3.00 crore collections recorded on Sunday, the Malayalam version accounted for Rs 2.90 crore. The language also posted an employment rate of 52 percent for 1,002 games.The Tamil version earned Rs 5 lakhs while the Telugu version added Rs 4 lakhs. The Hindi version has given Rs 1 lakh.The overall Malayalam voter turnout stood at 54.05 percent on the third day. Daytime performance rose to 60.08 percent. The evening shows showed the highest attendance at 64.42 percent. Night shows remained stable with 52.75 percent occupancy.On Day 3, Kerala grossed Rs 2.65 crore. Karnataka followed with Rs 35 lakhs. Tamil Nadu contributed Rs 23 lakhs while Andhra Pradesh and Telangana added Rs 10 lakhs.
