Even while we were making it, we felt it was a film ahead of its time. Prithvi and I loved the project. We both wanted to do something different. It was done in a very beautiful way, without compromising the quality of the production at all. That’s how Lijo wanted it to be.”
Why the film failed in its first run
Although ‘Double Barrel’ made a splash before its release, it failed to connect with the general public during its run. However, after some time, the film gained a cult following and gradually gained cult status among film lovers.Explaining what happened, Arya said: “But when the film was released, it was found that it was almost finished, that’s why people at that time did not agree with it very much.” Despite that, we all had a lot of fun making this film.”

Arya also revealed that producers recently explored the possibility of giving Double Barrel another theatrical release.
