Delhi University has launched the preference filling phase under CSAS UG 2026 to allow registered candidates to finalize course and college choices after completing subject mapping. Students can modify their preferences until July 11, while the first admissions list will be released on July 16. Admission will be based on CUET UG 2026 performance and eligibility criteria.

Delhi University (DU) has launched the second phase of CSAS for undergraduate admissions 2026. Eligible students who have registered in the first phase can now provide their preferences for courses and colleges. Preference filling for CSAS will begin on July 3 and end on July 11 at 11:59 pm. Applicants must perform subject mapping and prepare their program-university preference list during the preference filling process.In the current phase of CSAS, candidates need to map their Class 12 subjects to the CUET UG 2026 question paper. For DU, applicants must appear for the CUET UG 2026 examination in the same subjects in which they passed their class 12th examination. The topic mapping process applies to both language topics and domain topics.

Candidates can submit multiple project college preferences

Delhi University allows applicants to choose from as many program-faculty combinations as they qualify. However, the agency stressed that preference order is one of the most critical factors in the allocation process.Students are advised to carefully prepare their preference list after assessing their interests, qualifications and admission prospects. The university also allows candidates to reschedule their selections multiple times before the deadline. Only preferences saved on the portal before closing time will be considered for seat assignments.

First allocation list Will be released on July 16th

The school will announce the first batch of CSAS UG 2026 allocation list at 5 pm on July 16. Candidates who get seats in the first round have to accept their allotted seats between July 16 and July 18. The college will complete application review by July 20, and the last date to pay first-round admission fees is July 21.The second round allocation list is expected to be announced on July 25. Candidates who are allocated seats in the second round must complete the registration fee payment before July 28.

Admission based on CUET UG 2026 results

Delhi University will offer admission to 73 undergraduate courses and 150 Bachelor of Arts (BA) course packages through the CSAS portal this year. Admissions will be conducted solely on the basis of CUET UG 2026 results and subject to the eligibility requirements of the specific course.The university has also reserved upgrade and freeze options for admitted candidates. Students who accept the allotted seats and complete the admission procedures, subject to meeting the prescribed conditions, may have their admissions frozen or may choose to upgrade to higher priority courses or colleges in subsequent rounds without losing their existing seats.

What applicants should pay attention to

Candidates are now in one of the most important stages of admission to undergraduate courses in Delhi University as the process of fulfilling preferences has begun. While the scores in CUET UG will help candidates qualify, the allotment will largely depend on how they manage their preferences.That is why students are advised to check the topic mapping properly and check each preference before filling it.
