CBSE Class 10 Second Board Result 2026: Will ‘Compartment’ be mentioned on your pass certificate? This is what students should know

As the CBSE Class 10 Second Board results 2026 are about to be announced, many students are worried about more than just their marks. A common question is whether passing the second board examination will leave a “compartment” mention on their final mark sheet or pass certificate and whether it will affect their admission to Grade 11. As per CBSE’s examination rules, students who meet the board’s passing criteria are eligible for a pass certificate. The rules provide that candidates who meet the prescribed conditions will be issued a certificate of adoption by the Board.While CBSE’s public rules do not specify what is printed on the final pass certificate after passing the second board examination, some videos and images shared online by students appear to show the certificate with the word “compartment” on it. In this case, students should contact their preferred schools as soon as the results are announced to check if admissions are still ongoing or if any additional admissions rounds are ongoing.Students should remember that one exam does not determine their future. Whether they passed the first or second board exam, the important thing is that they have passed class 10 and are ready for the next stage.
