Pitt’s legal team argued that executives of the company that bought Château Miraval had direct knowledge of Jolie’s 2021 sale of its value in the winery. The court ruled that these people had to make deposits even though they were outside the United States.In June 2025, Mr. Pitt tried to remove an executive from the company that bought the products, but court documents said the man refused to provide documents or go to an interview under the pretense of being a Swiss citizen. The decision which has just been made has overcome these objections, and it is determined that the money must be made in London by 30 September.

On June 24, the California Court of Appeals ruled against the businessman who runs the company.
