Nissan Tekton earns 5 stars in BNCAP crash tests ahead of world premiere: Details
Ahead of its official launch in India, Nissan’s all-new Tekton has received the highest five-star safety rating from the Bharat New Car Assessment Program (BNCAP). The certification appeared on the BNCAP portal ahead of the SUV’s launch, putting its crash safety credentials in the spotlight even before Nissan released the model. The same listing also provides the first clear look at the Tekton’s exterior design, effectively giving the SUV an early look.

The Nissan Tekton scored 30.49 out of 32 for Adult Occupant Protection (AOP). It scored 14.49 out of 16 points in the frontal offset deformable barrier test and 16 out of 16 points in the side movable deformable barrier test. In terms of Child Occupant Protection (COP), the SUV scored 45 points (out of 49 points). It scored a maximum score of 24 out of 13 points in the dynamic test, 12 out of 13 points for child restraint system (CRS) installation, and 9 out of 13 points in the vehicle evaluation category. The BNCAP listing also revealed the exterior design of the Tekton ahead of its official debut.
