Mollywood actor Vinayakan has landed in legal trouble as the Mavelikkara police in Kerala’s Alappuzha district have reportedly registered a case against him for defaming women.As Mathrubhumi said, the case is based on the sharing of a picture of a young girl on Facebook. The police operation was started following the instructions from the Kerala State Commission for Protection of Child Rights.The alleged incident started in July last year. The organization says it ordered the police to register an FIR after reviewing the matter at their meeting held in Alappuzha.

The complaint alleges that the photo and phone number were shared online

Reports say that the complaint was filed by a native of Thazhakara who is currently working in Mumbai. According to the complaint, Vinayakan allegedly shared a picture of the complainant’s minor son on Facebook without permission.The complainant said that he had sent a Facebook page related to the actor through WhatsApp. He said that this upset Vinayakan. The actor then allegedly uploaded a picture containing the complainant’s WhatsApp image, which showed his eight-year-old daughter. The article reportedly included the complainant’s phone number and profanity.The complaint also said the Facebook posts led to repeated calls from unknown people. He said that several callers were abusive after they got his number through the post.

The police registers cases under several sections

After the incident, the girl’s father went to the Kerala State Commission for Protection of Child Rights and asked for their intervention. After examining the complaints, the commission ordered the Mavelikara police to take action.Based on the information provided by the agency, the police registered a case against Vinayakan. Apart from the misogynistic allegations, the authorities have also used the provisions of the Information Technology (IT) Act in this regard.The investigation is expected to continue in accordance with applicable laws. The police are still announcing what they will do in this case.

The ‘Jailer 2’ actor has faced controversies in the past

This is not the first time that Vinayakan has found himself in the middle of controversies. Over the years, the actor has attracted attention for several events related to his public behavior and television appearances.He has been criticized in the past for insulting and controversial posts on the internet, even by late Oommen Chandy (former Chief Minister of Kerala).
