Indian teenage star Vaibhav Sooryavanshi etched his name in the record books by setting the fastest fifty in the history of Group A cricket in the final of the Tri-Nations series between India A and Sri Lanka A at the Dambulla International Stadium in Rangiri.The 15-year-old opener launched a stunning attack on the Sri Lankan bowlers after Sri Lanka A elected to start, hitting just 11 half-centuries, creating a stunning sequence of 4, 4, 4, 6, 6, 0, 6, 4, 4, 6, 6 in his first 11 deliveries. In the process, Sooryavanshi broke the world record 12-ball fifty set by Sri Lankan Kaushalya Weeraratne in 2005.Here are the top 50 fastest players in A-ball cricket history:

The historic moment came when Sooryavanshi smashed left-arm seamer Dulaj Samuditha straight to the ground in the fifth and sixth overs to score an impressive fifty and rewrite the Group A record.In the third over, the left-hander scored 26 runs off Mohamed Shiraz. After failing to cross the 50-run mark throughout the tournament (14, 44, 21 and 38), Sooryavanshi put in a stellar performance in the final, finishing with 94 off 29 balls to set up a solid foundation for Team India A in the Ti Nation final at Dambulla.
