Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce announced a major charitable donation of $26 million to at least 20 organizations in the United States this week. The timing of the donation comes ahead of this week’s wedding in New York, although the couple has yet to officially confirm the wedding.According to Variety, the actor’s announcement about the donation did not mention the wedding, only saying: “This week, Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift donated $26 million to charities in the United States.” The 20 organizations that receive support include nine food pantries, an animal welfare organization, seven educational programs, and three children’s hospitals spread across the country.

Details of charitable donations

Among the organizations that receive donations, City Harvest in New York issued a statement detailing its donations. “We are extremely grateful for Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s generous donation of $1 million to City Harvest. This donation is a love letter to New York, and a bold commitment to our efforts that no New Yorker goes hungry,” said Jilly Stephens, the organization’s CEO. “Their support is coming at a critical time, it’s going to New York City’s soup kitchens and restaurants near the mountains and it’s expected to increase because of the decrease in federal funding.”
