Adding to the anticipation, legendary sitar virtuoso Rishab Rikhiram Sharma has shared a new set of pictures featuring the key members of the film’s crew on social media.The pictures show Rishab walking with Ranbir Kapoor, Yashthe director Nitesh Tiwari and producer Namit Malhotra. Rishab, who was trained by Pandit Ravi Shankar, is known for taking Indian music to audiences around the world.

Apart from the popular pictures, one picture stood out because of the orange wristwatch worn by the sitar maestro. Earlier, producer Namit Malhotra and the makers officially confirmed that the first trailer of Ramayana will be released worldwide on July 24. The announcement was accompanied by a special message celebrating the epic’s enduring legacy.The makers wrote, “From Bharat to the world. For thousands of years, the Ramayana has inspired generations through its timeless ideals of dharma, maryada, courage and compassion. Now, it is a new journey. One of the greatest civilizational texts of Bharat, begins to be presented to the world on a scale never before attempted in Indian cinema. “Ramayana trailer debuts worldwide on July 24.”

A star-studded cast brings the epic to life

Directed by Nitesh Tiwari, Ramayana has a one-man ensemble featuring some of the most famous characters from the Indian epic. Ranbir Kapoor will portray Lord Ram, while Sai Pallavi will play the role of Sita. Ravie Dubey has been cast as Laxman, while Yash will essay the role of Ravan.

A two-part release is planned for the epic saga

Designed as a two-part theatrical event, the makers are planning a big theatrical release for two consecutive years. The first installment is expected to hit the theaters on Diwali 2026, while the final title is expected to be released on Diwali 2027.
