As the clock ticks towards the release of the much awaited trailer of ‘Ramayana‘, the new update has left fans in a frenzy.The film which will release its first trailer in a few days has already been certified by the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC). According to the CBFC certificate, ‘Ramayana’, which stars Ranbir Kapoor, Sai Pallavi and Yash in the lead roles, will reportedly have two trailers instead of one clip.

According to the certificate, the trailer of the film was given a ‘U’ (Universal) certificate on July 15, making it suitable for people of all ages from children to adults. What’s important is that the trailer is much longer than most other movie trailers.
The trailer of ‘Ramyana’ has been revealed
The CBFC website currently lists two types of trailers. While one trailer, titled ‘Trailer – Ramayana 3D’, has a running time of 4 minutes and 15 seconds, the other, titled ‘Theatrical Trailer – Ramayana 3D’, lasts exactly 4 minutes. It remains to be seen if the online broadcast will give fans an extra 15 seconds, or if that will be reserved for viewers to watch on big screens.

The upcoming trailers show the next big treasure from the film. The first trailer for the movie was released on July 3, 2025, and introduced the fantasy to the public. The makers, on April 2, released ‘Rama First Look’, in conjunction with the Hanuman Jayanti festival. This trailer introduced Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Rama and also teased the introduction of Yash as the antagonist, Ravana. The film had a running time of 2 minutes and 38 seconds and also received a ‘U’ certificate from the CBFC.

The trailer’s CBFC certification comes just days after the makers announced in a social media statement, “From Bharat to the world, the trailer of Ramayana debuts globally on July 24, 2026.”The group released a statement saying, “For thousands of years, Ramayana has inspired generations through its timeless ideals of dharma, maryada, courage and compassion. Now, it is embarking on a new journey. One of the greatest cultural events of Bharat, presented to the entire world, on a scale never before attempted in Indian cinema.”

Directed by Nitesh Tiwari‘Ramayana’ has an ensemble cast with Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Rama, Sai Pallavi as Sita, Yash as Ravana, Sunny Deol as Lord Hanuman and Ravi Dubey as Lakshman.Produced by Namit Malhotra, the epic has music composed by AR Rahman and Hans Zimmer. According to reports, the trailer will also be shown at Comic Con next week, where the cast, director and producer are expected to be present for the discussion.Scheduled as a part of the cinematic saga, ‘Ramayana: Part 1’ is slated to release in time for Diwali 2026. Meanwhile, ‘Ramayana: Part 2’, the second installment in the franchise, is slated for Diwali 2027.
