He wanted the museum to last for 100 years.” Speaking about the demolition after Aashirvaad’s death, Anita expressed her dismay, saying, “When the house was demolished, I died with it.”In a previous interview with Rediff in 2013, Anita reflected on how Rajesh Khanna’s family was very involved in her life during her final months. He said that about a year before his death, his wife who was far away Dimple Kapadia and daughters Twinkle Khanna and Rinke Khanna He started visiting her regularly.“He would spend a few hours there. When I would go out, he would call me and ask me when I would come back to go. When he came, I would take care of them. I would tell them where he kept his things. Dimple didn’t even know all those who came home to see him. I would tell him, and we were like friends. I was happy that his family came because someone was sick, it was very difficult for me to tell him. I was very afraid that his health was deteriorating. Anju Mahendroo also stays with him once in a while. We got along really well,” he said.
Rajesh Khanna’s health continued to decline
Anita also revealed how Rajesh Khanna’s illness was during his last days. According to him, doctors had already warned those close to him that the former actor could die at any time. “The doctors told us that he could go at any time.
