According to Architectural Digest, Paul Wesley and Natalie Kuckenburg described the purchase of the property as “an accident.” They worked with architect Jack Wettling and designer Alan Eckstein to outfit their space with pieces they both love in the next chapter of their lives.

Wesley, a New Jersey native who always saw New York City as his “playground” growing up, is a longtime fan of all things creative. In addition to living in the city, the actor also maintains homes in Los Angeles and Austin. The renovation of the building, which features arched windows and a unique roof, begins with a gut renovation overseen by Wettling, followed by a design project led by Eckstein.

Wesley saw his appreciation for vintage pieces and antiques throughout. “I’ve always appreciated things that are older and that have a story,” he told reporters at the time. Her design philosophy reflected her desire to incorporate meaningful pieces with history and culture into their new home.
Natalie Kuckenburg incorporates Brazilian heritage into home design
As for Kuckenburg, having his Brazilian heritage reflected in the walls of his new home is something he leaned on during the renovation. “I certainly don’t come from design, but I’m half German, half Brazilian. Paul and I traveled to Brazil and we brought a lot from there back to the house, including the appearance of white brick and wood and small pieces that give it life,” he said at the exit.

One of his favorite places in the whole house is the sofa, because he loves to cuddle with the family dog Greggy. The baby rescuer also photographed their wedding photos that Kuckenburg shared earlier this month following their wedding announcement.

Although the exact date when the two started dating is unknown, they were first linked in November 2022 when they were spotted in Italy. Wesley later revealed how the pair first met on ‘Live with Kelly and Mark’, noting that their first meeting went down the “classic” route at a bar in New York City. “That’s rare these days, I think, because everyone meets online with all the dating apps. It was like an old, beautiful girl in a bar. There was a little bit of staring, and I was like, ‘Okay, I’ll go.’The couple got engaged last summer, announcing the news on Instagram on July 19 at the time along with a photo of Kuckenburg’s shiny new ring. The affair became a key part of their relationship before they decided to tie the knot in a civil ceremony that they revealed to the public just weeks before they opened their home to the media.
