The 31-year-old opted for his fifth consecutive T20I victory in the third T20I against England at Trent Bridge on Tuesday. In doing so, Iyer joins an elite list of Indian skippers who have won five consecutive toss in the shortest format.MS Dhoni Still holds the record for seven consecutive toss wins between May 2010 and February 2012, while Virat Kohli Six straight wins in 2019. However, the winning streak did not change the fate of the Indian team on the field.Iyer is yet to register his first win since taking over as India’s full-time T20I captain after the 2026 T20 World Cup. India lost back-to-back defeats to Ireland in the first T20I against England. They then lost the second T20I in Manchester, leaving Iyer without a win in his first four games as captain at Trent Bridge.
