Apart from the teaser, the film has also been in the news for its release schedule.The makers have now locked August 26 as the worldwide release date. Earlier, the film was expected to hit the theaters on March 19 before being shifted to June 4. Actor Yash spoke about the delay and explained why the team decided to wait before bringing the film to the audience.He wrote: “At that time Indian movie is finding its voice and rising to the international level with such promise, each of us has a responsibility to raise the bar. As a producer, I see this time as an opportunity to do my part for the Indian film industry and for all of us by taking the time to ensure that our film reaches the world with the impact it deserves.
A pan-Indian release with international ambitions
Directed by Geetu Mohandas‘Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grow-ups’ is set as a multi-lingual thriller with worldwide appeal. The film was shot in Kannada and English and will also be released in popular versions in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, and Malayalam.
