New Delhi: The Bar Council of India (BCI) is expected to release the final answer key of All India Bar Examination (AIBE) XXI soon. After the final answers are released, candidates taking the national certification exam can download the final answers from the AIBE official portal. The release follows a review of objections submitted to the interim answer.The final answers will determine the marks used for declaring AIBE XXI results. Once published, no further objections or questions to the answers will be accepted. Results are expected to be announced in mid-July 2026.More than 148,000 candidates registeredAIBE is designed to assess whether law graduates meet the minimum standards required to practice law in India. Passing the examination is a must for obtaining the Certificate of Practice (COP), which is issued by the Bar Council of India and authorizes lawyers to practice in courts across the country.According to registration data, more than 148,000 law graduates have signed up for AIBE XXI. The exam is conducted at multiple exam centers across India.Passing scores for different categoriesThe final answers will serve as the basis for assessing the candidate’s performance and preparing the final results. Candidates belonging to the general category and OBC category must secure at least 45% marks to qualify for the examination.Candidates from Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST) and Persons with Disabilities categories must secure at least 40% marks to qualify. Those who achieve the required passing score will be eligible to receive a practicing certificate from BCI.How to download final answersCandidates can get the final answers by visiting the AIBE official website and selecting the AIBE XXI final answer notification on the home page. The answer key PDF will contain the official answer keys for all question paper sets (including Groups A, B, C and D).After downloading the file, candidates can compare their recorded answers with official answers to estimate their final score before results are announced. They are advised to save a copy of the answer key PDF for future reference during results processing.
