Keoghan last appeared in the 2022 ‘Batman’ film in a short film, as the first film was about Batman going against the Riddler to save Gotham City. Now, according to a new report shared by Box Office Pro France, the actor will soon resume his role in the film. How they will appear is still something that has not been revealed yet.It was shared in a report that the production house, which is behind the development of ‘Batman’ and ‘Batman 2’, confirmed the story during one of the previews at the Studio Show, where production houses come to share their future projects. For the next film, reports say that the main villain of the film will fall to the famous Victor Zsasz and will introduce the secret society of the Court of Owls, along with Harvey Dent.Keoghan appeared briefly at the end of the 2022 film The Riddler after he was imprisoned in Arkham Prison. The episode showed him in prison, making a new friend, who turned out to be Keoghan’s Joker. There have been speculations that the Joker could be a major part of a possible third film in the franchise.

The actor, speaking about the opportunity in 2024, shared that he would love to resume the job if the opportunity arises. When he appeared on the ‘Happy Sad Confused’ podcast, the Irish star said, “It’s big, but I’m saying that, if the opportunity arose, yes, I would love to investigate, if I was given the opportunity, to be involved in this, but I wasn’t informed, I didn’t hear anything.“Matt Reeves, who directed the first film, and is directing the second, spoke to Digital Spy in an earlier interview about how he liked Keoghan’s take on the Joker. He shared at the time that, “Barry is an amazing actor. He is very special, very special. One of the things we talked about a lot was the idea, that his view of the world is shaped by his confusion from birth. It was like a cruel joke that life was playing on him, as well.“
About ‘The Batman 2’
So far, the second part of the series has cast Robert Pattinson, Scarlett Johansson, Sebastian Stan, Colin Farrell, Andy Serkis, Jeffrey Wright, Charles Dance, Jayme Lawson, Gil Perez-Abraham, Sebastian Koch, and Brian Tyree Henry. ‘The Batman 2’ is all set to release on October 1, 2027.
