Return of Robert Downey Jr. to the Marvel Cinematic Universe as Dr. Doom is one of the most exciting things in the upcoming film. Recently, at his speech at San Diego Comic-Con, ‘Fantastic Four’ leading star Pedro Pascal he explained his character’s relationship with Dr Doom and how he views the whole concept as an actor. Pascal teased more about the upcoming film and shared that his character, Dr Reed Richards, will not be taking responsibility for the actions of Victor Von Doom. Pedro Pascal teases more about the relationship between Dr Reed Richards and Dr Doom
Recently, the entire cast of ‘Avengers: Doomsday’ joined Marvel’s production team at San Diego Comic-Con to announce more details about the movie. Later, speaking to Entertainment Weekly about the movie, Pascal revealed more about the relationship Dr Reed Richards shares with Victor Von Doom.The actor revealed that he sees their relationship through the eyes of his character Richards, who doesn’t want to take on the role of arch-enemy with his questionable actions. He added, “The wise understand that we all have a responsibility.” The actor added, “The world we’re in, and the way I understand it through Reed, is very different from the relationship I have with Doom, and I think there’s a big barrier between what we all have as an audience to meet the Avengers, and the amazing way it all ties together like we have with the X-Men when we’re this team.”Pedro Pascal, who is also known for his roles in “The Mandalorian and Grogu”, “The Last of Us” and “Materialists”, made his first appearance in the MCU with “Fantastic Four: First Steps”, which also featured Vanessa Kirby, Joseph Quinn, Ebon Moss-Bachrach, and Julia Garner in leading roles.
About the ‘Fantastic Four’
The ‘Fantastic Four’ franchise started in the 2000s, when Ioan Gruffudd and Julian McMahon appeared as the main antagonists in the films. Later, when the characters were recast in the new film, actors Miles Teller and Toby Kebbell appeared as Dr Reed Richards and Dr Doom, respectively.A new trailer for the upcoming movie ‘Avengers: Doomsday’ was premiered at Hall H at the Comic-Con event, which showed how Sue Storm was connected to Victor Von Doom and understood her past and how she lost her family. The actor ended up revealing that one of the original ‘Avengers’ characters, Peggy Carter, will also be joining the gang in the upcoming film. ‘Avengers: Doomsday’ is expected to release in December this year.
Upcoming MCU projects
Along with ‘Doomsday’, Tom Holland’s ‘Spider-Man: Brand New Home’ will be released in theaters on July 30 in India, and July 31 in the US. Along with this, at Comic-Con, the studios announced new and upcoming projects under the MCU, which included ‘The Last Walk’ actor David Jonsson being cast as the son of King T’Challa, and the new Black Panther. Along with this, Ryan Gosling stepped into the universe as the new Ghost Rider, taking the mantle from Nicholas Cage, who portrayed Johnny Blaze in two films.
