After finding a buyer for her USD 5 million restored Westchester estate, Drew Barrymore has shown fans a completely different home: the perfect RV for a summer getaway.

Hollywood actor and talk show host Drew Barrymore is trading luxury for easy summer travel. Just weeks after finding a buyer for his renovated home in Westchester County, the 51-year-old gave fans a glimpse of his temporary home, an RV.Barrymore shared a video of the performance on Instagram, where she danced around a firehouse in a baseball cap and flannel shirt while Enya’s Caribbean Blue played in the background.“I want to RV? Yes, yes. I’ll bring some cable lights and tea!!” He wrote the words.

A good tour of his mobile home

The Charlie’s Angels star showed off the interior of the RV, which is sleek but stylish, giving her followers a glimpse of her personal bests. The video had a small kitchen with a stove and a sink. Fans also spotted a kettle from Barrymore’s own Beautiful by Drew homeware collection, initially resting in its box before appearing unpackaged and taped to the wall, presumably for safekeeping while the car is in motion.Barrymore also revealed the bedroom, with pink bedding, and a compact bathroom with a small sink and vanity mirror. She wrapped up the video by letting her hair down and taking a selfie inside the RV, where a fire extinguisher can be seen hanging from the wall.Fans praised the actress in the comments section for her steady and efficient way of traveling.

A new head after selling his rural property

Barrymore’s RV trip comes just after her six-bedroom, nine-bathroom home in Harrison, Westchester County, entered the final stages of being sold. The artist bought the famous 12-acre estate in 2024 for $4.4 million before it was listed earlier this year for $4.99 million. The house, which dates back to the 1740s, quickly found a buyer and is expected to be sold. However, turning the old house into the world of his dreams turned out to be more difficult than he expected.

Renovation became a major undertaking

Speaking previously about the project, Barrymore revealed that what she initially believed to be cosmetic turned out to be a complete makeover. The major project included replacing the home’s heating, plumbing and air-conditioning systems, while the kitchen was extensively remodeled to create a bright, open space, a process he said took about a year of engineering.Barrymore loved what happened to the old movie The Money Pit, joking that the remake reflected the struggles of the movie theater’s owners. While the project turned the historic property into a family retreat, Barrymore explained that the lengthy renovation meant her family’s lifestyle changed when it was completed. Since his daughters were very busy, the trip to the countryside no longer suited their needs, which led to the decision to sell.Although he left the site, Barrymore often said that the renovation allowed him to pursue one of his greatest passions, interior design, and he chose to stay in the house during the renovation rather than wait for the project to be completed.
