Prince Harry has opened up about his upbringing, revealing that he shows affection for his late mother, Diana, Princess of Wales, when he spends time with his own children. The Duke recalled how Diana would hug him and her brother, the Prince of Wales, “as tightly as she could,” which she would give to her son and daughter after a difficult day.On a recent podcast, Harry shared the special moment his children, Prince Archie (seven) and Princess Lilibet (five), visited their grandfather, the King. It was their first meeting in four years, which made the occasion very special for the family. The Duke was warm and candid in an interview with Celebrity Traitors star and former England rugby union player Joe Marler about his parenting wisdom.
A parenting philosophy based on love
“The courage of the kids is amazing, and their outlook on life is so refreshing,” Harry said on the Joe Marler Will See You Now podcast. He went on to explain his daily routine. “And if it’s a tough day, the one thing I can do is squeeze my kids every time, really tight.” This simple but effective gesture shows the strong influence of Diana’s parenting style on Harry’s upbringing.
Harry shared this during difficult days, hugging Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet with courage, inspired by how Princess Diana comforted her sons.

When asked to give his full name, he replied “Henry Charles Albert David, Duke of Sussex” and joked that his hair was not “ginger” but “auburn”. When asked to name her favorite TV show, she replied “Love Island”, adding “I don’t watch Love Island, I’ve watched Love Island.” When asked who Harry would be among “Harry Styles, Harry Kane or Harry Potter”, he said “Kane on his best day”. He gave his prediction about England’s chances at the World Cup, saying “I think he is coming home, it won’t be easy, it won’t be.”

When asked about his grooming routine, he replied “s***, shave, shower” and explained that “I shave my beard every five or six days, just to keep it a little neater.” The bald leader added with a laugh “There’s nothing going on upstairs, I’m cutting my hair, otherwise I’m trying not to look at what’s going on.”The questions became more difficult when he was asked how he dealt with pain. Harry replied, “exercise, sports and finding time to go somewhere, do something.Repetition is good, make it a habit.” He added, “Boxing, another thing that I enjoy, is to leave the violence, to sweat.
