Nissan has revealed fuel efficiency figures for its newly launched Tekton SUV ahead of customer deliveries scheduled to begin on July 20. The mid-size SUV is priced between Rs 10.49 lakh and Rs 18.59 lakh ex-showroom and is available in two turbo-petrol engine options and three powertrain combinations.The most fuel-efficient version of the Tekton is the 1.0-litre turbo-petrol engine, mated to a 6-speed manual transmission, with a claimed mileage of 19.41km/gallon. Buyers opting for the more powerful 1.3-litre turbo-petrol engine claims fuel efficiency of up to 18.5km/g when paired with a 6-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox, while the same engine can achieve a fuel efficiency of 17.8km/g when paired with a 6-speed manual gearbox.Under the hood, the Tekton shares its engine options with the Renault Duster. The entry-level 1.0-litre three-cylinder turbo-petrol engine produces 100bhp and 166Nm of torque and is currently available only with a 6-speed manual gearbox.For those looking for more performance, Nissan also offers a 1.3-litre three-cylinder turbo-petrol engine that produces 163 hp and 280 Nm of torque. The motor can be paired with a 6-speed manual transmission or a 6-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission.The Tekton was recently launched in India with an introductory price of Rs 10.49 lakh (ex-showroom). In the Indian market, Nissan Tekton has entered one of the most competitive SUV segments in the country.
