A player Akshay Kumar has expressed concern over Rajesh Sharma’s health after the veteran actor was hospitalized after being bitten by an insect during the shooting of Prabhas’ “Fauji” at Ramoji Film City in Hyderabad.On Thursday evening, Akshay went to X to share a picture with Sharma and wish him a speedy recovery. “I am very concerned to hear about the health of my dear friend Rajesh after he was bitten by an insect while we were shooting. I hope Mahadev blesses him with a speedy and complete recovery. Jaldi theek ho ja yaar, abhi saath baith ke bhot hansna hai,” he wrote.Rajesh Sharma was recently admitted to Manipal Hospital in Kolkata where his condition reportedly worsened following the incident. Filmmaker and TV presenter Sudipa Chatterjee shared a health update on Instagram, revealing that after filming at Ramoji Film City, Sharma was surrounded and chatting with local artists in a lush green area when he was bitten by an insect.Initially dismissing it as a minor bite, the player did not go to the hospital. However, according to Chatterjee, about six hours later he began to feel severe pain in his right leg. His condition took a turn for the worse while on his way to Kolkata, where he contracted high fever. When he got down, he rushed to the hospital for treatment.Meanwhile, the All Indian Cine Workers Association (AICWA) has written to the Telangana chief minister Revanth Reddyrequiring extensive investigation into the incident. In its letter, the union said, “Given the magnitude of his illness, AICWA believes that a thorough, independent and transparent investigation into the circumstances leading to the medical emergency during the Fauji shooting is imperative. Are all acceptable occupational health, hygiene and safety procedures being followed?”The agency wants clarity on whether the manufacturing facility had adequate medical equipment and safety measures for the workplace during the shooting.
