Patrick J. Adams: “I’m ready” when he launches the revival of ‘Suits’ with Meghan Markle and the original |
Patrick J. Adams has detailed the idea of a revival of the legal drama ‘Suits’ which would bring back the original characters, including Meghan Markle’s character Rachel Zane. The 44-year-old actor took to social media on Friday, July 3, to suggest how the beloved series could be revived with contemporary news and original music.According to Adams’ statement shared on Instagram Stories, the revival will be in a lawsuit against the smart manufacturing company. “Mike [Ross, played by Adams] and Rachel [Zane, played by Meghan] he’s working against a major AI company when suddenly the past years and illegal manipulation at Pearson Hardman threaten to be revealed,” he wrote, setting up a central conflict that would bring the characters together as predicted.
The touch of the first letters is the story
Adams explained how the revival will affect the characters from the original series. “Harvey [Specter, played by Gabriel Macht] and Donna [Paulsen, played by Sarah Rafferty] life can end before it begins. Jessica [Pearson, played by Gina Torres] A political career can be terminated. Louis [Litt, played by Rick Hoffman] he may lose something he has been working on for a long time..“.tough,” he wrote, describing the details of each character.
Product features and spinoff potential
Adams also included a variety of creative ideas for revival style. “I can throw flashy jokes and bike montages. Give Harvey and Donna’s baby, and then exercise in different cities following the adults,” he wrote, considering the size of the universe beyond the main revival project. He finished his speech with confidence in the idea. “That writes itself. Let’s go. I’m ready” Adams said expressing his excitement at bringing the show back.
History of the original series and the results of the match
‘Suits’ followed Mike, who finds himself working at a law firm alongside New York City’s best lawyers including Harvey, Jessica and Louis. Donna works as Harvey’s assistant, while Rachel begins the series as a legal assistant. The series aired on the network between 2011 and 2019, including the finale of its 9th season. The legal drama received a major revival when it first appeared on open platforms in the summer of 2023 and reached a new audience many years later. The show’s popularity on streaming reached an unprecedented level, with the show setting the record for the most viewers nearly four years after its finale, racking up billions of minutes of viewing on streaming platforms in peak weeks.
The previous spinoff and Adams’ continued interest in the revival
A spinoff series called ‘Suits: LA’ was announced in February 2024 and set to air on the major network. The spinoff, which stars Stephen Amell as Los Angeles lawyer Ted Black, Harvey’s former team mate, ran for one season before ending in May 2025.Adams has previously shown an interest in reviving original musicians through a variety of genres. In June 2024, Adams and several of her costars on the legal drama, including Sarah Rafferty, Dulé Hill, Abigail Spencer and Amanda Schull, reunited at a radio festival in Austin, Texas, to celebrate five years since the end of the show.During the event, Adams was asked about the possibility of a theatrical film adaptation, noting that other shows from the same network have been adapted into film projects. “That’s really what they want to do, trying to get the team back together. It’s going to depend on a million things if that happens,” Adams said at the time. When pressed further about the possibility, Adams expressed cautious optimism. “But is it possible? I think it’s possible,” he concluded, implying that despite the obstacles, the revival project is still in the realm of possibility.
