Watch: ‘Kya kar raha hai yaar?’ – Abhishek Sharma leaves in frustration after messing up with Ishan Kishan | Cricket News
India suffered an early setback in the first T20I against England when Ishan Kishan was run out due to a big slip-up with opening partner Abhishek Sharma. Kishan was dismissed after just two balls in the match, adding to the pain after he was also dropped in India’s previous T20I against Ireland. Chasing a quick single, Kishan pushed the ball towards mid-wicket and set off, but Abhishek decided not to run after seeing Harry Brooke intercept the ball. The decision was referred to the third umpire and when the replay was checked, Abhishek’s frustration was evident. During their brief exchange, Abhishek asked Kishan: “Tu pahuncha ki nahin pahuncha, kya kar raha hai yaar Ishan? (Have you succeeded? What are you doing, yaar, Ishan?)” watch:It wasn’t enough for Kishan to desperately dive back into the crease as England completed their knockout overs, and India struggled after losing Sanju Samson and Kishan in the first two matches.Despite some chaos at the start, Abhishek Sharma put in a brilliant performance, scoring 59 runs in just 24 balls, including 6 fours and 4 sixes. He shared a crucial 82-match partnership with the captain Shreyas Iyerhe anchored the innings with 68 off 47 deliveries. Abhishek also became the fastest player in T20I history to complete 100 sixes (in terms of balls faced).Shivam Dube’s unbeaten knock of 42 off 21 balls helped India post a competitive total of 189/7 in 20 overs, while England pacer Saqib Mahmood posted impressive figures of 3/33. However, India’s incessant rain started towards the end of the game, preventing England from chasing. As the situation failed to improve, the match was eventually abandoned and the two teams will travel to Manchester for the second T20I on July 4.
