Akshay Kumar has topped the massive success of ‘Welcome to the Jungle’. In a recent interview, the star opened up about the film’s box office success, her fear-mongering before its release, and the misconceptions people have about her even after three decades in the industry.

Responding to the film which crossed Rs 65 crore over the weekend, Akshay Kumar kept his reaction short and sharp. He told Hindustan Times, “Just two words: Jai Mahakal!”

Talking about what people still don’t understand about him despite decades of work, Akshay said, “That I have a hidden machine at home that makes four films a year! It is not. Every Friday still feels like exam results. Every movie still gives me butterflies.“He added, “The day I stop being afraid or excited about a new job, I think that’s the day I have to retire. So there is no secret way… just discipline, consistency and hunger for a new one.”

When asked if he still feels nervous before the film’s release and if the makers are adding more pressure, Akshay said, “I’m nervous, but not to the point where I can’t eat or sleep. Give me a home-cooked meal and a pillow any day of the week and I’m happy. These days, I’m more nervous for anyone involved in the film. I’ve been experiencing success, failure, heartbreak all the time.“
