Honda ZR-V launched in India for Rs 48 lakh: Efficiency, features and more
Honda Cars India today finally launched the much-awaited Honda ZR-V in the Indian market, priced at Rs 48 lakh (ex-showroom). The ZR-V is available in a single fully loaded variant and was brought to India from Japan as a complete manufacturing unit (CBU). Competitors of this hybrid SUV include Volkswagen Tiguan, Skoda Kodiaq, Nissan X-Trail and others.Speaking of the powertrain, the Honda ZR-V is equipped with a 2.0-liter strong hybrid gasoline engine, a four-cylinder direct injection device using the Atkinson cycle and two permanent magnet synchronous electric motors. The combined output is 184 horsepower and 315 Nm, with power transmitted to the front wheels through an e-CVT gearbox. At the front, it features a large grille and wide LED headlights, cleverly integrated into the dashboard, creating a restrained yet striking appearance. Subtle character lines add definition without complicating the design. The rear continues the same design style, with wraparound LED taillights, slightly sloping rear glass and a simple tailgate layout. A roof-mounted spoiler adds a mildly sporty element while maintaining an overall clean design. The exterior positioning is more urban than rugged. The infotainment screen sits atop the dashboard as a separate unit, clearly separate from the physical switchgear below. Honda continues to use traditional push-button and rotary controls for functions like climate control. In terms of features, it comes with a 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system, 10-inch digital instrument cluster, dual-zone climate control, 12-speaker Bose audio system, wireless mobile phone charging, electric tailgate, acoustic front and rear windshields, front and rear ambient lighting, wipers with integrated washers, 8 airbags, ADAS, and more.
