For the past few days, after returning from the UK, Meghan Markle, Prince Harry and their children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, have been enjoying some ‘us time’ away from their everyday lives. The family of four were spotted in Portugal enjoying the sunny beaches together, and the pictures sent everyone back to the holiday the Duke of Sussex continues with his mother, Princess Diana. Along with Portugal, the couple also traveled around the UK and visited Princess Diana’s childhood home in Althorp.

Earlier this week, the Duchess of Sussex shared a series of photos from her beach holiday in Portugal, which many believe resemble famous photos of Princess Diana on her family holiday in 1993. Markle shared photos of the family on the beach, in which she watched her husband and their children as they played and ran in the water.The photos of the family are remarkably similar to Princess Diana’s vacation in 1993, when she, along with Prince Harry and Prince William, who had children at the time, enjoyed the water on the island of Nevis in the Caribbean. Princess Diana was known to be outgoing and playful, and was often photographed and seen on vacation with her family.In another 1990 photo, the Queen of Wales vacationed in the British Virgin Islands with her sons and friends. Some pictures showed him enjoying himself with his children; One showed him allowing his sons and friends to bury him in the sand.
