The ‘M’ category is what it means
According to Australian guidelines, the ‘M’ (Mature) category is an advisory. Movies and computer games rated ‘M’ are ‘not suitable for children under 15’. They can contain things like ‘violent scenes and themes that require a serious look’. Children under the age of 15 can obtain this legally.

‘Ramayana’ is gearing up to launch its trailer
The latest certification comes just days before the makers are expected to unveil the trailer of the movie. The Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) in India gave the trailer a ‘U’ (Universal) certificate. As it has been changed, the film will have two trailers, one of which is about 4 minutes long and the other has a running time of 4 minutes and 15 seconds.Although trailers are expected to be released next week, on July 24, the 34-minute video submitted for Australian certification is understood to be a preview of the film and not a gameplay trailer. While it remains to be seen what the content of the video is, online chatter suggests that it may be the same one that was previously shown at CinemaCon earlier this year.

Directed by Nitesh Tiwari, Ramayana stars Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Rama, Sai Pallavi as Sita, Yash as Ravana, Sunny Deol as Lord Hanuman and Ravie Dubey as Lakshman.Produced by Namit Malhotra, the two-part epic has music by AR Rahman and Hans Zimmer. The film will be released in two parts of the epic saga, the first part is slated to release on Diwali 2026 and the second release is expected to arrive on Diwali 2027.
