Travis Scott talks about riding ‘The Odyssey’: He admits he was ‘really nervous’
Christopher Nolan‘s ‘The Odyssey’ has caused quite a stir on the internet. With many people arguing over the dialogue choices and casting, the addition of Travis Scott to the list surprised many. The famous rapper was cast as one of the birds in the film about Odysseus, the king of Ithaca. In one of his recent interviews, Scott opened up about how he came up with the role and how nervous he was to take part in Nolan’s film.Travis Scott shares his fear in “The Odyssey”The ‘SICKO MODE’ rapper recently appeared on ‘The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon’ on July 21, where he was asked how he got the luck of a lifetime. The rapper revealed candidly that he took on the role after Christopher Nolan approached him and asked him to take on the role of the Bard.He added, “My phone went off, and it just said, ‘Chris.’ And I think, like, ‘Okay, I don’t know what this is.’ Maybe he wants to go to the show?’” He added, “I’m like, ‘Okay, what?’ So I pick him up, and he asks me, ‘Would you like to do a movie?’ And I’m like, ‘I mean, I think, you know? What is it [role]?’ but I didn’t think it was about him. I thought it might be someone else’s.”The 35-year-old said that the request came as a surprise to him, as this was his first role. He said that most of what he did in front of the camera was just music videos. He added, “I’m just like ‘Oh, wait, wait, you know I make music?’ and he gave me all his thoughts on why…”Travis Scott shared that Christopher Nolan was a huge inspiration to himThe rapper also shared a few words about what it’s like to work with the legendary director and how his first record came to be. Scott shared, “I really enjoy his time. I’m really inspired by him; he’s a real mentor to me outside of this. And so I’m like, ‘Yo, whatever you’ve got down, I’m down.
