The film’s collection in India is now around Rs 83.14 crore.

Collection of ‘The Odyssey’ first Monday

After a strong opening weekend, the film dropped by 61.9% in its Monday collection compared to its Sunday net of Rs 21.90 crore. The film opened with a collection of Rs 17.40 crore nett on Friday before seeing a huge growth over the weekend with Rs 22 crore nett on Saturday and Rs 21.90 crore nett on Sunday, taking its first weekend past the Rs 50 crore mark.

The English version of ‘Odyssey’ is still very popular

The original English language version of the film has contributed significantly to the success of the film in India. Of the Rs 83.14 crore earned so far, the English version has contributed around Rs 66.18 crore, accounting for nearly 80 percent of the collection. The remaining Rs 16.96 crore has come from the Hindi, Tamil and Telugu versions.

‘The Odyssey’ maintains the domestic competition

Despite the midweek decline, Christopher Nolan continued to lead the Indian box office on Monday, winning the competition. The film is competing with horror title ‘Evil Dead Burn’, which has collected Rs 26.98 crore net and Rs 31.61 crore gross in India so far. It is also facing competition in the Indian market from ‘Dhamaal 4’, which earned Rs 152.20 crore and an all India collection of Rs 127.75 crore so far.
