Marvel Studios fans shocked the world when they released the trailer for “Avengers: Doomsday” on Monday. The cartoon soon took social media by storm, registering its first public appearance. The first official trailer for the upcoming superhero hit 503 million views within the first 24 hours, making it Disney’s highest grossing trailer ever and the second highest grossing trailer in history.

The second largest trailer ever launched

According to Disney, the trailer for ‘Avengers: Doomsday’ got 503 million views worldwide on its first day online, putting it behind ‘Spider-Man: Brand New Day’, whose trailer debuted with 719 million views.The launch also surpassed Disney’s previous, the 2024 ‘Deadpool & Wolverine’ Super Bowl teaser, which attracted 365 million viewers, including its television audience.

Directors Joe and Anthony Russo celebrated the milestone by thanking Marvel fans on social media. The trailer teases the MCU’s biggest crossover since Endgame

The film opened to $211 million domestically and grossed over $1.3 billion worldwide.

‘Avengers: Doomsday’ serves as the first lead-in to ‘Avengers: Secret Wars’, which marks the end of the Multiverse Saga. Releasing on December 18, just a few months after ‘Spider-Man: Brand New Day’, the film is expected to be one of the biggest blockbusters of the year.
