RRB Technician Recruitment 2026: Registration opens tomorrow for 6,565 Class I and III posts; check how to apply
Railway Recruitment Board (RRBs) The online registration process for the 2026 technician recruitment will begin on June 30, 2026. Eligible candidates can apply for the 6,565 vacancies for the posts of Signal Technician I and Technician III through the official RRB application portal.This recruitment has been announced through the Centralized Employment Notification (CEN) No. 02/2026 of the Ministry of Railways. Candidates can submit their application form before July 29, 2026.
Job vacancy details
According to the official notification, a total of 6,565 positions were recruited in this recruitment. in:
- There are 323 vacancies for Signal Technician I level.
- There are 6,242 vacancies for technician III positions.
Candidates applying for the Signal Technician Level 1 position should possess a Bachelor of Science or Diploma in the relevant field. For Technician III posts, applicants must have passed Class 10 examination and obtained Industrial Training Institute (ITI) certificate in the desired trade.
age limit
The age limit is calculated from July 1, 2026.
- First level technician signal: 18 to 33 years old
- Technician Level 3: 18 to 30 years old
Age relaxation will be provided to reserved category candidates as per government regulations.
Application fee
Candidates belonging to the General, Other Backward Class (OBC) and Economically Weaker Class (EWS) categories have to pay an application fee of Rs 500.The application fee is Rs 250 for candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST) and Persons with Disabilities (PWD) categories.This fee can only be paid through the online application portal.
Selection process
The selection process includes:
- Computer-Based Testing (CBT)
- Document verification
- Physical examination
Candidates who qualify at each stage will be selected for final selection as per Railway Recruitment Board norms.

Candidates can submit their application by following the steps below:
- Visit the official RRB application portal.
- Register with the required details.
- Fill out the online application form carefully.
- Enter your Aadhaar details and make sure they match your Class 10 record.
- Upload the required documents and photos.
- Pay the application fee online.
- Submit the application form and download the confirmation page for future reference.
Candidates for each pay grade can apply through only one Railway Recruitment Board. Only one application will be accepted per pay grade and submission of multiple applications for the same pay grade may result in rejection.Applicants are also advised to verify their Aadhaar details before submitting their application to avoid any mismatch during the recruitment process.The computer-based test schedule will be announced by the Railway Recruitment Board through the official website later.
