It has been confirmed that the film is to be released online on OTT platforms for everyone to watch. It will be available on Prime Video on July 22 this month. The film was already released in theaters worldwide on June 5. The official announcement was shared on the Internet, where the official Instagram page of the film wrote about it. They shared a clip from the movie along with “Listen up! Watch Masters of the Universe – July 22 on Prime Video,” written in the caption.
About ‘Masters of the Universe’
Based on the popular He-Man toy line, Nicholas Galitzine has the lead role as He-Man, a young boy just discovering his powers. Once he accepts his fate, he must do everything he can to save the kingdom of the royal planet and the rest of the world. The government’s official synopsis reads: “A young man on Earth discovers a secret legacy as the prince of a foreign land and must take a magical sword and return home to protect his kingdom.” Along with Galitzine, Jared Leto also stars in the film as one of the main antagonists, the famous Skeletor, who is hell-bent on taking over the place.Other cast members include Morena Baccarin as the Sorceress. Alison Brie as Evil-Lyn, James Purefoy as King Randor, Idris Elba as Man-at-Arms, and Charlotte Riley as Queen Marlena. The franchise returned to the big screen after almost 39 years, the last film, starring Dolph Lundgren, was released in 1987. According to reports from Box Office Mojo, the film made USD 114 million at the box office against a total production cost of $170 million to 200 million.
