Tamil star Dhanush is a Malayalam superstar Mammootty is currently shooting for the upcoming entertainer ‘Om,’ directed by Rajkumar Periasamy. According to the latest updates, the final shooting schedule of the film has reportedly started in Malaysia.
The final order of ‘Om’ starts in Malaysia
According to an IANS report, the final schedule began on Sunday. Although the makers have not announced any details about the schedule, the latest information suggests that the film is nearing completion. The update comes as videos of Dhanush meeting fans and signing autographs in Malaysia went viral on social media immediately.Interestingly, on Saturday, Dhanush’s manager Shreyas shared a picture of Malaysia’s Twin Towers on Instagram with the caption, “#Om final schedule.” He also used the original song from the film in the story.It has also been reported that Mammootty will shoot for five days in Malaysia, while Dhanush is a veteran actor. Naseeruddin Shah expected to be part of the full schedule.
Naseeruddin Shah joins a big film
As for Naseeruddin Shah, a few days ago, the makers announced that the veteran Bollywood actor has joined the cast of ‘Om’.The film’s production house, Wunderbar Films, shared the news by writing, “A powerful addition to the world of #OM. Veteran #NaseeruddinShah rides a mega biggie. Coming to cinemas worldwide on October 16th 2026.” The title of the film also has the tagline Chapter 1, which suggests that the makers are planning something else.
About ‘Om’ and its form
In the teaser shared by the makers, Dhanush is seen playing a woodcutter who comes to the rescue of workers who are illegally cutting red sand.In this film he also shows Sai Pallavi and Sreeleela in important roles. The music is composed by Sai Abhyankkar, Ezhil Arasu handles the cinematography and Kalaivanan R is the editor.The makers have already announced that ‘Om’ will release in theaters on October 16, 2026. However, speculations suggest that the release date may change, and a new date may be announced soon.
