New Delhi: Vaibhav Sooryavanshi’s disappointment was palpable after he was dismissed in the fourth T20I against England at Bristol on Thursday. Soon after an ill-timed pull, he started walking before the fielder even completed the catch, realizing his inning was over.Sooryavanshi was dismissed for scoring 15 off just 10 balls Jofra Archerhe again troubled him with short-pitch bowling.

Third consecutive low score

The game marked Soriyavanshi’s third consecutive low score in the series. He scored 14 in the second game of his T20I debut, 13 in the third, and only 15 in Bristol.watch:Archer, who also dismissed the teenager in the previous game, stuck to the same plan. After testing him with a series of short balls, the England pacer forced Suryavanshi to pull the ball at an ill-timed occasion and was caught safely by Sam Curran at mid-on.

High expectations after the dream year

After a blockbuster year, Soriyavanshi entered international cricket with huge expectations. The teenage opener lit up the IPL with 776 runs at a strike rate of 237.30. However, the foray into international cricket has been fraught with challenges so far, with him scoring 14, 13 and 15 runs in his first three innings.Meanwhile, India, led by new captain Shreyas Iyer, is yet to register a win and trail England 0-3 in the five-match series. The two teams will meet in the fifth and final T20I at Southampton’s Rose Bowl on Saturday.
