OJEE Counseling 2026 flags document discrepancies, warns candidates to correct CBSE ‘RT’ status: Check full details here
The Odisha Joint Entrance Examination (OJEE) panel has issued a warning to candidates appearing for the OJEE counseling process 2026 after finding discrepancies in the documents submitted by the applicants. The advisory body has asked the affected candidates to immediately correct their application details, warning that failure to do so may result in the seats allotted during the admission process being cancelled.The notification mainly concerns candidates applying for B.Tech, B.Arch, B.Plan, B.CAT and Integrated M.Sc courses whose CBSE class 12 marksheet shows ‘RT’ (Repeat Theory) status for qualifying subjects.
OJEE finds discrepancies in CBSE mark sheet
As per the latest notification, OJEE Cell has found that multiple applications contain CBSE mark sheets showing “RT” status in one or more required subjects. Candidates with ‘RT’ status declared ineligible
The Advisory Committee has clarified that candidates with pending ‘RT’ (Repeat Theory) in the required qualifying subjects do not meet the minimum eligibility criteria for admission.The committee also noted that in a few cases, due to inadvertence, applications with “RT” status were marked as “verified” during document review. It has directed such candidates not to proceed with the counseling process.
OJEE issues strict instructions to affected candidates
The advisory body has set out clear instructions for candidates with discrepancies in their applications:Candidates with pending “RT” status are not eligible for admission. If their document has been marked as “verified” despite differences, they must exit the consultation process immediately.If online withdrawal is not possible, candidates must immediately notify the OJEE office in writing.The committee emphasized that candidates should not ignore the notification as the discrepancies will be reviewed again later in the admission process.
Seat assignments may be canceled during entity verification
OJEE warns that any incorrect or substandard information retained in the system may result in automatic cancellation of the allotted seats during physical verification at the institutional or university level.The Counseling Council has made it clear that it will not be held responsible for loss of admission if a candidate withdraws despite warnings or reports discrepancies.
Deadline for first round of PG projects extended
In another notification, OJEE Cell has extended the deadline for first round document upload and seat acceptance fee payment for M.Tech, M.Arch, M.Plan, MBA, MCA, MSc Computer Science and MBA (Work Professions) courses.Candidates can now complete these formalities before July 13, 2026 at 11:59 pm.The committee said the extension was granted in response to the candidates’ requests and to ensure a smooth admission process. However, it has clarified that the overall consultation timetable remains unchanged and will not be extended further.
