AIBE 21 final answers 2026 released today; BCI results expected between July 15 to 18

AIBE 21 Final Answer 2026: The Bar Council of India (BCI) is scheduled to release the AIBE 21 (XXI) 2026 Final Answer Key on July 10, 2026. Revised Answer Keys will incorporate changes made following review of objections submitted to provisional Answer Keys and will be published for all question paper sets.The AIBE 21 results are expected to be announced between July 15 and July 18, 2026, after the final answers are announced. The results will determine the candidate’s eligibility for a Certificate of Practice (CoP), which is a mandatory requirement to practice in Indian courts and tribunals.AIBE 21 Exam TimetableThe examination process will be a written test on June 7, 2026. Provisional answer sheets and individual answer sheets were released on June 10 for candidates to compare their answers.The online objection window remains open from June 10 to June 17, during which candidates can challenge any answer in the temporary key. After reviewing these objections, BCI finalized the revised answer, which is scheduled to be released on July 10. The final scorecard is expected to be released between July 15 and July 18.How to download final answersOnce the answers are found, candidates can access the group-wise PDFs of Groups A, B, C and D through the official All India Bar Examination portal.Candidates need to open the official website, find the notification column on the homepage or the “AIBE XXI Final Answer Key 2026” link, and open the merged PDF. They can then compare their revised answers with the question paper used during the exam.Qualifying Score for AIBE 21Candidates belonging to the general category and OBC category must secure at least 45% marks to be eligible for practicing certificate. Candidates in SC and ST categories must secure at least 40% marks.The exam will not give negative marks for incorrect or unanswered questions. If BCI approves any deleted questions or grace marks after the review process, these revisions will be reflected in the final answers released on July 10.Candidate participation and past exam trendsBCI reported a significant increase in participation rates during the most recent exam cycle. It is estimated that AIBE 21 recorded nearly 265,000 candidates, which represents an increase of nearly 75% in the number of candidates in the two examination cycles.Previous examination data shows that the number of AIBE 18 (2023) candidates is approximately 144,000, and the overall pass rate is 48.36%. The pass rate for AIBE 19 (2024) is 77.27%. A total of 2,51,968 candidates took the exam in AIBE 20 (2025), of which 1,74,386 qualified, with a pass rate of 69.21%.The total number of candidates for AIBE 21 is expected to be approximately 265,000, and the number of qualified candidates and the overall pass rate will be announced along with the results.gender participation dataAccording to the latest consolidated data from BCI, a total of 1,65,613 male candidates appeared for the exam, out of which 1,13,063 qualified.Of the female candidates, 86,336 participated and 61,310 qualified. BCI also recorded the participation of 19 transgender candidates, 13 of whom qualified.Abandonment of Issues Policy in AIBEThe AIBE evaluation process includes provisions for removing incorrect or defective questions from the final evaluation.During AIBE 20, 5 questions were removed after review, bringing the total score down from 100 to 95 points. If BCI discovers similar discrepancies during the AIBE 21 review process, the final score will be adjusted accordingly.Practice certificate process after the results are outCandidates who qualify at AIBE 21 are eligible to receive a practicing certificate from BCI. This document authorizes a lawyer to practice on behalf of clients in courts and tribunals across India.Candidates who do not obtain a practicing certificate after passing the examination cannot continue to practice law after the expiration of the two-year validity period of their provisional registration with the bar board of their state.Digital verification of practicing certificates is expected to be conducted through the official AIBESCOPE mobile app three to four weeks after the results are announced. Certificates of substance are usually sent to the respective state bar boards within three to five months after the results are announced.Procedure for obtaining a practicing certificateCandidates should regularly monitor notifications issued by their respective state bar boards regarding the distribution of certificates.To collect, candidates must bring a copy of their temporary ID card, state certificate of registration, and AIBE 21 eligibility scorecard to the state bar board office. Once the documents are verified, a permanent practicing certificate number and a lifelong Bar Association ID card will be issued.
